Not only do your gifts of time and talent benefit those with whom you are involved, choosing to participate in some way is a great way to connect with others and start making FCC Natick your church home.

The Snow Brigade is on-call in the winter months to clear the church sidewalks and steps of snow and ice, saving the church several thousand dollars a year. There are two teams alternating coverage every two weeks throughout snow season. For a heavy storm, it is all hands on deck, including the snowblower!
Our Comfort Food Team delivers nourishment to people experiencing life challenges, because healing—physical, mental, or emotional—requires fuel. Let us know if you enjoy cooking and would like to be on a team that responds to crisis with casseroles (and more). You may be asked to have a dish ready to go in the freezer or be on call for a fresh delivery when a need arises. All are welcome to be a part of this care and support ministry.
Our Praying Hearts Team is linked by an email chain that passes along prayer requests to the group. Sometimes a request is for prayer around a specific health concern or scheduled medical intervention. Sometimes it is more general in nature. We gather our hearts in prayer knowing that there is infinite possibility through prayer. All are welcome to join the Praying Hearts email list to provide care and support through prayer.
The Friendly Visitors share time and conversation with those who are laid up or home bound. This opportunity to connect may bring company and comfort to someone going through a short term difficulty or grow into an ongoing friendship that bridges differences like age, abilities, or background. Whether a temporary arrangement or a longterm routine, being a visitor is is an opportunity to provide important connection to our faith community at times of isolation.
Coffee Hour is a relaxed space for newcomers to get acquainted with our congregation and a wonderful time of the week for FCC regulars to reconnect with church friends. Volunteer hosts sign up for a week at a time. They set up the coffee pot and mugs before Sunday worship and provide light refreshments as the vestry fills after the service. While homemade or store-bought goodies on the table are always appreciated, the most important thing anyone brings to share is a smile!
Worship Team members rotate the responsibility of preparing the sanctuary for worship on Sunday. The team assists newcomers, reads Scripture, collects the offering, serves communion, and helps with special services. The Worship Team contributes to the worship experience in a very tangible way. All are welcome to be a part of this ministry.
Get the best seat in the house! Our Worship Tech Team controls the soundboard and cameras to livestream and record the Sunday worship service. Help is needed to advance worship slides on cue too. The Tech Team is happy to train those interested in supporting our audio-visual production.
