Mud after a hard summer rain. Sand between our toes on the beach. Soil turning seeds into dinner. The summer brings us closer to the ground – dust, earth, clay… dirt. So during worship (when Rev. Cindy is leading) we’ll “ground” ourselves in scripture passages that speak of dirt. This week we join a prophet in watching a potter working with clay, and think about what shapes our lives. We will celebrate communion together – folks at home are invited to have a bit of food and drink handy.
