This summer, Godly Play is focusing on parables, and this Sunday we join them! In addition to thinking about the Parable of the Great Pearl, we’ll be joined by special musicians* sharing beautiful music – as well as news of a music program in Guatemala!
The Robinwood Trio
This Sunday we welcome special guest musicians to worship – with a connection to our friends in Guatemala! Alan Clayton-Matthews (on recorder) is leading the August delegation to Santa María Tzeja, and he’ll be bringing the gift of music with him. But first, he’ll bring it to us, along with Claudia Yapp, also on recorder, and Janet King on viola. Claudia and Alan are members of the Congregational Church of Needham, UCC. Janet plays keyboards, taught piano, and has added the viola to her repertoire. Together they will play Allegro, from Sonata IV for two recorders and basso continuo, by Giuseppe Sammartini (1695-1750).
