Volunteers plant red flags on church lawn

Memorial to those lost to Opioid Epidemic

August 24, 2024

On the morning of Saturday, August 24th, volunteers (including a field hockey team from Framingham State) assisted Natick 180 in planting thousands of flags on the church lawn. Each purple flag represented someone in Massachusetts who has died from an opioid overdose last year. Each red flag displayed a personal message from someone grieving the loss of a loved one to this epidemic. The flags will be displayed for two weeks before being transplanted to another location.
