One thing we’re proud of at FCC Natick is that we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Sure we gather together to worship, learn, reflect, and serve the community and our wider world, but church life is also full of the “joyful noise” of people coming together to just have fun. We genuinely enjoy spending time together, and laughter comes easily when we do!

Lunch Bunch convenes on the third Thursday of most months, for a purely social brown bag lunch. Folks gather at noon in the vestry (or the outside tent in good weather) for lively conversation and laughter around the table, as we share important details of our lives. There are drinks, snacks, and treats to share, and even hot soup in cold weather. Do drop in!
We host a speaker during Coffee Hour every few weeks, in the “Chat Room” just off the Vestry. Some recent topics:

Our congregation is made of people who appreciate good food. We love to cook and bake and we love to eat! Throughout the year there are multiple gatherings around food – like our annual rally day picnic under the tent and several all church dinners in the vestry, all provide opportunities for conversation and laughter, as well as a great meal!
Our Living Crèche gathers on our Front Porch during the annual Natick Tree Lighting. Folks transform into a shepherd, a wise guy, or even an angel, then go out front to serenade passersby with carols. Strike Up the Band’s brass ensemble often joins in the music making. Come listen, or better yet, join the cast. It’s fun, it’s easy, and it’s the reason for the season. It takes just thirty minutes to help everybody get in the Christmas spirit!
Family Hikes are scheduled in the fall and spring. There are several interesting and accessible hiking areas in Natick. Typically folks meet in the church parking lot and drive together to the site. Family Kayaking is also scheduled on local ponds and lakes, some of which offer rentals.
