At FCCN, we believe that gratitude and generosity are core practices of a spiritual life and how we use our money is a spiritual decision. Giving brings joy and can be liberating! It sets us free in a culture where worth is so often tied to material wealth, and where the acquisition of “stuff” can consume us.
We include this practice in our weekly worship by “collecting the offering.” We pass a
plate among those gathered onsite, and folks are invited to add their financial
contributions or simply pass the plate along. The offering is a symbol of all the financial
decisions we make all week long.
There are a number of easy ways to give:
- Use your bank’s “ACH” online banking system (convenient and no fees),
- Mail a check made out to “FCC Natick”. Mailing address: FCC Natick, 2 E. Central St., Natick, MA 01 760. (less convenient, but no fees)
- Charge a credit card through Vanco, the safe online option recommended by the UCC (convenient with small fees).
